In plain language

Floorix uses information to provide and improve the service, support users, secure accounts, and operate contractor workflows. We do not sell personal information for money.

Ask a privacy question

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Floorix ("Floorix," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit getfloorix.com, request a trial, contact us, or use the Floorix application and related services.

Contractors may enter information about their customers, workers, subcontractors, and projects. For that information, the contractor determines why the information is collected and used, and Floorix processes it to provide the service. Contractors are responsible for giving appropriate notices and obtaining permissions required by applicable law.

2. Information we collect

Account and business information

We may collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, business addresses, account credentials, roles, logos, business preferences, contract settings, and communications with us.

Customer and project information

Users may provide customer contact information, service addresses, estimates, contracts, invoices, project details, notes, photos, payment status, and related records.

Crew and labor information

We may process crew or subcontractor names, contact details, assignments, time records, progress updates, notes, photos, and account activity.

Location information

When a crew member uses clock-in or clock-out and permits location access, Floorix may record the device location associated with that event. Floorix is designed to capture these event-based location points, not continuously track a device. A user may deny device location permission, although location-verification features may then be unavailable.

Payment instructions

A contractor may choose to store payment instructions, such as payment handles or bank-routing and account information, for inclusion on documents. Do not enter financial information unless it is necessary for your business and you are authorized to provide it. Payment-card transactions, when offered, may be handled by a third-party payment processor rather than Floorix.

Website and technical information

We may collect IP address, browser and device information, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostic records, security events, and essential cookie or session information.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage accounts.
  • Provide customer, estimate, contract, invoice, project, crew, labor, photo, and payment-tracking features.
  • Verify clock-in and clock-out locations when requested.
  • Deliver trial access, onboarding, support, service messages, and requested communications.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and protect users and the service.
  • Improve product performance, usability, and reliability.
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements.

4. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate hosting, databases, authentication, file storage, form delivery, email, analytics, customer support, and payment processing. These providers may use information only as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money.

5. Contractor responsibilities

Contractors are responsible for the information they place in Floorix and for deciding who can access it. This includes providing legally required notices to customers, workers, and subcontractors; obtaining any required consent for location verification, photos, communications, or electronic records; limiting access to authorized people; and complying with employment, labor, tax, recordkeeping, and privacy laws that apply to their business.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and its purpose. You may request account or personal-information deletion by contacting us. Some information may remain in backups or be retained when required by law.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials, using secure devices, limiting account access, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized use.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update certain account information within Floorix or contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision about a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You can control device-location access through browser or device settings. You may opt out of nonessential marketing communications by using the unsubscribe method provided or contacting us. Operational and security messages may still be sent.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Floorix may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for sign-in, security, preferences, and service operation. If analytics or other nonessential technologies are introduced, this policy and any required choices will be updated.

10. Children

Floorix is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the service. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

11. International use

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Floorix changes. We will post the revised policy with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice when required by law.

13. Contact us

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@getfloorix.com or use our contact form.
